Site Information (Technical Specifications)

The site uses a large amount of PHP programming and MySQL databases since all aspects of the site were created to be fully interactive. Though Microsoft FrontPage 2003 is used to edit and upload files, all programming and design is done by hand (in code view) since FrontPage does not adequately support editing PHP or displaying CSS style sheets in the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) view. The program does help to streamline the editing and uploading of the site, and this is the primary reason why I even bother using a program such as FrontPage instead of just using a basic text-editing program like Notepad and then uploading with a basic FTP program. If you are familiar with the programming used on this site and have any suggestions or wish to contribute by cleaning up, optimizing, or writing better code (primarily PHP), then please contact me here.

Information about this site's graphics, graphic design, and the evolution of that design can be found here.

I learned how to do most of the programming for the site in order to make it; I did not know how to program web-based languages and then make the site since I had the ability. Because of this, much of the site could have been created much more dynamically and more professionally, but again, my primary goal was just to get this site online.
