September 11, 2001

Everybody will remember where they were and what they were doing as they stared in disbelief at the planes impacting the top stories of World Trade Center Towers one and two. It is an event thoroughly burnt into the consciousness of the American public and will go down in history as one of the greatest atrocities ever inflicted upon our country. Few days have impacted the direction of America more than September 11th, but only time will allow our perceptions better objectivity and resolve our uncertainties. Legislation such as the Patriot Act, numerous conflicts related to the War on Terror, and a myriad of other dramatic changes to our country are direct results of the events of that day. Because of its far-reaching effects, we should be careful when accepting anything as absolute truth, whether it be the "official" account or any other alternative theory. At the same time, we must also be vigilant enough to prevent further attacks by addressing the underlying causes. The events of September 11th remain largely a mystery, but regardless of how, why, or what happened, it can only be the symptom of a much larger problem.

Conspiracy Theories

There are numerous conspiracy theories addressing what really happened on September 11th. Some are well researched and verifiable, but most of these theories are of questionable integrity to say the very least. Supporting any of these theories is inconsistent with the mission of this website and an almost entirely futile activity. September 11th may eventually be addressed, but only credible, verifiable facts about the event will be presented. With this said, it is clear that the "official story" that we have been presented with could not have occured exactly as it has been described, and proving this alone is sufficient to awake the healthy skepticism that should always be possessed by citizens when interacting with government.
